Your brand

How to sell on your own domain

Run your whole store on shop.yourbrand.com or yourbrand.com: product pages, cart, checkout and orders on your own address, with Apple Pay set up for you.

Why your own domain matters

A store on your own address looks like your brand, not a marketplace. Buyers see your domain from the first click to the receipt, and search engines treat it as the main address for your store.

One domain for everything

On xMerch, one domain serves the whole store: your home page, product pages, cart, checkout by card or Xaman, sign-in, orders and downloads. Use a subdomain like shop.yourbrand.com, or your root domain, yourbrand.com.

What you add at your domain provider

Tell the xMerch team which domain you want, and they'll add it and send you the records. Setting it up takes a couple of records at the company where you bought your domain:

  • A subdomain (shop.yourbrand.com): one CNAME record pointing to cname.xmerch.app
  • A root domain (yourbrand.com): an A record, plus a CNAME for www pointing to cname.xmerch.app

What happens after

Once the records are in place, the domain is checked and goes live. Apple Pay and Google Pay are registered for it automatically, so card checkout works on your domain the same way it does everywhere else.

Questions

Can I use my main website's domain?

Yes, either the root domain or a subdomain like shop.yourbrand.com. A subdomain lets you keep your current site on the root.

Does checkout stay on my domain?

Yes. Cart, card and Xaman checkout, sign-in and orders all run on your domain.

Which plans include it?

See the plan comparison on the features page; it always shows the current plans.
